Hello everyone!

I read a post on a social media site today which discussed, among other things, the time zones of Europe and, what was of interest to me specifically, Spain.

As a tourist, I have often found it odd that Spain is on the same local time as central Europe and not that of the UK and Portugal. I base this merely on the physical geographical location of the countries on the map.

The article suggested that there was a movement to change from Central European time to that of British time. As I understand it, this would mean moving the clocks back one hour. I am wondering if this is something that is new or has the idea has been around for a while? Is there any support among the people for such a change? Do you see a significant impact to this? In what way? Socially? Economically?

I would love to hear any and all opinions.

Many thanks and best wishes to all!
